Study with disability

Studiwerk offers specially equipped flats or apartments for disabled students.

These are located at the Tarforst, Petrisberg and Kleeburger Weg residences.

For students with severe disabilities, there is also the option of a care assistant provided by Studiwerk.

These care assistants are people doing a voluntary year of social service or employed by the federal volunteering service. The number of assistants can vary, but we will do everything possible to ensure that at least one assistant is always available.

The assistants will help with everything that is required: from library work to going to the toilet to things such as help with eating; the assistants will do anything that may be required on the university grounds. This service is available from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5.15pm.

here´s how it work´s

You can apply for our student residences online at any time. Applications are open to all matriculated students of Universität Trier, Hochschule Trier and Theologische Fakultät Trier.Forms will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Due to the high demand, the duration of stay is limited to eight semesters initially. It is possible to extend the rental period if the student can prove that they are in the final stage of their degree at this time.Applications from disabled students, students with children, foreign students and students receiving BAföG support will be processed as a prioriity.

Exchange students should contact the International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt der Hochschule) which is responsible for procurement of living space.
